This is a platform to showcase Hangzhou’s International literary scene. This website features original poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction from Hangzhou locals and expats alike.
Founded by Hannah Lund and Katie Sill in 2016, Hangzhou Writers’ Association welcomes writers of all experience levels from all over the world. Our events have included poetry slams, intoxicated writing sessions, local poet Huang Yazhou’s poetry seminar, our first anthology book’s launch party, and guest speakers such as Australian author Peter Summersby and managing editor of Red Star Magazine, Toby Clarke.
It is an exciting time at the Hangzhou Writers’ Association! We have recently undergone changes in our editorial staff. Our team is now made up of Kyle W. Porter from America and Hasina Rajaonarivelo from Madagascar.
We are welcoming to all writers of all experience levels and newcomers too! If you are in town stop by one of our events or submit to our online publication.
